In addition a web based
access to the mail is made available: https://mail.psi.ch.
This is called Outlook
Web Access. From this website you can also read and send mail worldwide.
The first time that you use this website you may be asked a couple of questions
concerning certificates. Confirm the questions and make sure, that you accept
the certificates for all further session. All transfers will subsequently be
encrypted. You will get an Outlook-like interface. Certain features like changing
your password or setting a email forwarding address can only be done
through this website or the WINTERM1 Terminal Server with the MSIE web browser,
unless you have Windows and Outlook2003 on your desktop. If you are outside
PSI, you will need VPN to
access the terminal server.
If you are outside PSI and access Outlook Web Access, you will be presented
with a different login screen and in addition there is a new OWA
in operation for security reasons.
N.B. If you are an Outlook user you may want to set it up using Outlook 2003 RPC over HTTP described on the mail configuration page for off-campus Outlook usage without VPN.
